PI50226: WMQ QUEUE MANAGER TERMINATES DUE TO AN ABEND5C6 00C94518

Error description

• A queue manager terminates as a consequence of an ABEND5C6
  00C94518 which causes the task responsible for orphaning shared
  queue IVSAs (during structure failure or conn loss processing)
  to terminate unexpectedly.
  Change Team finds this occurs when CSQIORF1 is called to orphan
  an IVSA but before it can do so the queue is deleted and
  another queue with the same name is created. CSQIORF1 locates
  the current IVSA for the queue to check that it is the same one
  that was passed however (due to the queue recreation) this is
  not the case, resulting in this abend.

  *                      terminates with abend 6C6 00C510AB.     *

  *                      are abend reasons 00C94517 & 00C94519.  *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  While a shared queue is being deleted, connectivity to the
  structure containing the queue is lost. Unable to close the
  queue, CSQESTFA calls CSQIORF1 via CSQEORF1 to orphan the IVSA
  for the shared queue. CSQILOC2 is called to check the IVSA
  but is delayed while waiting for the synonym chain latch. By the
  time it gets control the queue has been deleted and subsequently
  recreated in a different IVSA. CSQIORF1 finds the IVSA mismatch
  and abends 5C6 code 00C94518 (CSQI_IVSA_REDEFINED).
  

Problem conclusion

• CSQIORF1 has been changed so that this situation no longer
  causes queue manager termination and abend. Also a check is now
  made to prevent the orphaning of a reused IVSA.
