APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In Rational Developer for System z V9.1.1.1, users are not able
  to browse load modules with extension exe.
  When selecting the 'Browse' action by right-clicking on the load
  module exe from Remote System Explorer,
  there is no response from RDz. The browse action appears be
  ignored.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• When the size value of a member was empty, the editor open
  action was cancelled in the RDz v9.1.1.1 client since the member
  was not ready to open with an editor. When the record format of
  the member was U, the RDz client stopped retrieving the size
  value, so the size value was empty and RDz v9.1.1.1 client
  cancelled the editor open action.
  

Problem conclusion

• The RDz client was fixed to allow the empty size value when the
  record format was U.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.1.1.2 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
