  *                      problems may occur for an SQL           *
  *                      statement that satisfies all            *
  *                      of the following conditions:            *
  *                      1. The statement contains a table       *
  *                      user defined function.                  *
  *                      2. The table user defined function      *
  *                      contains a sideway reference argument.  *
  *                      3. The table user defined function      *
  *                      is used in an outer join.               *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  For Example,
  
  SELECT * FROM T1 JOIN T2 ON 1 = 1
                   JOIN TABLE
                     (SELECT RAND() FROM TABLE(TUDF(T2.C1))) TX
                   LEFT OUTER JOIN T3 ON 1 = 1
           JOIN T4 ON 1 = 1;
  
  
  where TUDF is a table user defined function.
  
  An abend or unpredictable problems may occur for the above
  statement because DB2 did not handle the sideway reference
  in the argument of the table user defined function correctly.
  

Problem conclusion

• DB2 has been modified to correctly process the aforementioned
  SQL statement.
