APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
Certain PL/I syntax causes Proprietary scanner (aespanal.exe) to consume high amounts of CPU on Windows RAA server.
Local fix
Using the Compiler-based scanner for the affected files may avoid the issue.
Problem summary
Proprietary scanner hung while trying to save comments with the appropriate token during look-ahead for processing (number)literal syntax in PLI. The comment saving was putting the comment in the current and 2nd look-ahead token, rather than chaining them together.
Problem conclusion
Code was changed to chain items together correctly.
Temporary fix
