APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Once you remove a component from an application with versions
  used in a snapshot, you be unable to add any more versions. You
  will see this error:
  
  Error adding component versions:
  
  Cannot add a version to a snapshot for a component which does
  not belong to the application.
  
  This error message is not clear as to which component version
  and component are
  causing the error.
  
  Additionally, it should not be possible to remove a component
  from an application if that component's version(s) are being
  used by a snapshot of the application.
  

Local fix

• Remove the removed component's versions from the snapshot or
  re-add the component to the application

Problem conclusion

• Components can no longer be removed from applications if the
  application contains a snapshot that uses one of the components'
  versions in 6.2.1.2
