The change team has reviewed the dump. The ABEND0C4 occurs as
rsxAccessCache is not setting pCache->pAnchor, causing
subsequent processing to reference low storage (PRIMEPSA is
active which means that an address value of
    FFFFFFFF_FFFFFFFF is taken).

    ****************************************************************
A V800 queue manager running with OPMODE=(NEWFUNC,800) and queue
manager attribute CHLAUTH(ENABLED), it can generate abend 0C4 in
rsxSerialiseChlPrf (CMQXRSCF) when debug tool IGVDGNPP is
running and the queue manager is creating and populating queue
    SYSTEM.CHLAUTH.DATA.QUEUE for the first time.

Function rsxAccessCache fails to initialize a pointer in the
CHLAUTH cache control block that causes the 0C4 abend when
    rsxSerialiseChlPrf is invoked.

Problem conclusion

  • Function rsxAccessCache sets the correct value in the CHLAUTH
cache control block avoid the 0C4 abend.
