Error description

• ABEND04E RC00E40600 and SQLCODE -531 can occur when running
  CATMAINT UPDATE UNLDDN PI34964 and PI34964 is applied.

  User receives:
  
  SQLCODE=-531,ERROR:PARENT KEY IN A PARENT ROW CANNOT BE UPDATED
  
  when running the hold action in UI29182/UI29183
  The same problem can occur when running DSNTIJEN.
  
  Relationship DSN1T@1T for the SYSUTILX directory table was
  recorded incorrectly in SYSRELS.RELNAME catalog column with
  a bad '@' character for some EBCDIC CCSIDs.
  
  APAR PI34964(PTFs UI29182.HDBAA10/UI29183.HDBBB10)
  provided CATMAINT UPDATE UNLDDN PI34964 to fix the
  above problem but it failed if the DB2 is running
  in certain CCSIDs (such as 1147).
  

Problem conclusion

• DB2 has been updated to correct the problem.
  
  ++HOLD ACT:
  This PTF fixes APAR PI34964 and
  prevent a bad entry in SYSRELS.RELNAME column
  for the relationship DSN1T@1T for SYSUTILX directory table.
  
  This PTF will not correct the existing bad DSN1T@1T entry in
  SYSRELS.RELNAME.
  
  To identify the bad DSN1T@1T entry in SYSRELS.RELNAME,
  please run the following query:
  
  SELECT HEX(RID(R)),R.RELNAME FROM SYSIBM.SYSRELS AS R
   WHERE R.CREATOR='SYSIBM'
     AND R.TBNAME='SYSUTILX'
     AND R.RELNAME <> 'DSN1T'||X'40'||'1T';
  
  If the query returns a row, you can run the following
  utility to correct them:
  
  CATMAINT UPDATE UNLDDN PI45414
  
  Please note that
   CATMAINT UPDATE UNLDDN PI34964 has been removed.
