APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• With IBM Rational Developer for System z 9.1.0 client debugging
  COBOL v5 and above with Debug Tool 13.1, removing any
  breakpoints via the editor ruler causes an additional identical
  breakpoint to be set, rather than remove the existing one.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Attempting to remove breakpoints via the editor's ruler during a
  COBOL v5 debug session would cause a duplicate breakpoint to be
  set rather than removing an existing breakpoint due to the
  inability to recognize multiple compile units inside a single
  load module which is a feature of COBOL v5.
  

Problem conclusion

• The debug UI was updated to differentiate between compile units
  inside a single load module in cases of debugging COBOL with
  Debug Tool.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.1.1.2 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
