Error description

• The EGL variables that contain variable length SQL variables are
  defined as PIC 9(4) COMP-4. When using COBOL compiler option
  TRUNC(STD) this causes a maximum length of 9999, but be defining
  the PIC field as COMP-5 instead, the maximum length would
  increase to 32767.

  * only, to be comp-5, which means that no matter what trunc    *
  * compiler option is used, the max size increases to 32767.    *
