PI42718: THE FIRST ALTER QMGR FOR A NEW QUEUE-MANAGER IS NOT PROPOGATED INTO THE MGBL.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When an Open Queue command is issued from
  a CICS MQ program, the DEFXMITQ is not
  being applied resulting in a RC 2087
  (MQRC_UNKNOWN_REMOTE_Q_MGR).
  .
  There were some changes in CSQMCAMM
  (ALTER QMGR processor) related to updating
  the dead-letter queue, the default xmitq
  and authentication information object names.
  The changes made by the first ALTER QMGR
  for a new queue-manager are not
  propagated into the MGBL, which results
  MQRC 2087 (MQRC_UNKNOWN_REMOTE_Q_MGR).

  The first ALTER QMGR command not take effect if the command is
  to alter the DEADQ, DEFXMITQ or the CONNAUTH parameters.
  The MGBL is not altered and therefore the old value will still
  be in force. Note that the DISPLAY QMGR command will show the
  new value even though the old one is active.
  

Problem conclusion

• CSQMCAMM has been changed so that the first ALTER QMGR command
  will now succeed.
