Error description

  • Prerequisites:
    
    1. Synergy 7.2.1 (UNIX Server).
    
    2. Synergy Client running on Windows machine. The UNIX
    filesystem should not be accessible to the Windows machine.
    
    
    Steps to reproduce:
    
    1. Using a client on the UNIX Server or some other UNIX Machine,
    create a project, and set the work area (copy based) to be on
    the same machine - for example: /user/local/build_area
    
    2. Close the client.
    
    3. Start a Client on the Windows machine, and view the same
    project.
    
    4. Update the Work Area properties and change the path to be
    local to the Windows Machine - for example
    C:\Windows_build_area\
    
    5. Click Apply
    
    
    Expected Results:
    
    1. Work Area successfully changed to the expected directory.
    
    2. Apply button is greyed out.
    
    
    Actual Results:
    
    1. Work Area successfully changed to the expected directory.
    
    2. Apply button is not greyed out.
    
    3. There is an onscreen message that states: "The work area path
    is not accessible"
    
    
    Summary:
    
    The defect is not blocking the creation of the expected work
    area. However, the error message is misleading and may cause
    users to think something is wrong with their work area.
