APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Log files from the Analytics server show the following error
  occurring repeatedly:
  
   00000070 com.ibm.elasticsearch.servlet.DataReceiver
         E Error sending bulk request:
  java.lang.RuntimeException: failure in bulk execution:
  [236]: index [worklight], type [devices], id [...], message
  [VersionConflictEngineException[[worklight][1] [devices][...]:
  version conflict, current [14], provided [13]]]
  
  These errors are harmless, although they can consume a large
  portion or the log files.

  * redundant documents when multiple events come from the same  *
  * device. This causes ElasticSearch (ES) to throw exceptions   *
  * that the customer sees, and creates an unnecessary           *
  * computational burden on ES.                                  *

Problem conclusion

• Install the ifix that has this APAR remediation. Doing so will
  reduce the number of devices reported from the previous
  duplicate reporting to a single, reducing the coputation burden
  we imposed on the underlying data store.
