APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• With a non-specific REGION=0M and RULES(NOLAXPERF) enabled, the
  compiler may terminate IGYRC5108-U with an abend0C4 in IGYCPSCN
  (IGYCDIAG has also been seen).
  
  In addition, you may see related messages
  
      IGYPS2246-W   **RULES(NOLAXPERF)** Subscript "" was an
          inefficient type.  "BINARY", "INDEX-NAME" or
          "PACKED-DECIMAL" wou give better run-time performance.
  
  where the name of the subscript is missing, or contains
  unrelated junk.
  

Local fix

• Provide an explicit REGION, such as REGION=256M.

  The compiler itself was using a bad subscript calculation for
  the message insert for MSGIGYPS2246-W.
  

Problem conclusion

• The compiler was changed to use a correct subscript calculation
  when getting the insert for message IGYPS2246-W.
