    Degraded runtime performance can occur under COB V5.1 at OPT(1)
    as compared to COB V4.2, particularly in the area of array
    usage.

    An inexpensive loop optimization performed at OPT(2) was not
    being performed at OPT(1).
    

Problem conclusion

  • The compiler was modified to perform that optimization at
    OPT(1).
