APAR status

Error description

• Rational Developer for System z 9.0.1 - RDz - When Deleting a
  data set in RDz Remote Systems view, deletion of object fails.
  
  This problem is specific to Copy and Paste of a local file to
  remote/host PDS from RDz Remote Systems (RSE) view.  In this
  scenario, paste of local file into a remote PDS successfully
  creates/replaces a member in z/OS Partitioned Data set.   After
  paste is complete, if user tries to delete PDS using RSE, user
  receives message: "RSEF1300:E - Deletion of the object failed".
  The error "details" indicate: "CRRZI0452E Resource is locked and
  cannot be deleted".
  

Local fix

• A subsequent delete attempt of object/PDS from RDz Remote
  Systems view will successfully delete object/PDS.
  

Problem summary

• The RDz client failed to update the lock status of the uploaded
  member when deleting the parent PDS.
  

Problem conclusion

• The client was fixed to wait the latest lock status of the
  uploaded member.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.0.1.4 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
