PI37099: ERROR RECEIVED IN COGNOS WORKSPACE ADVANCED WHEN CREATING FILTER WITH NEGATIVE VALUE: VALUE MUST BE A VALID INTEGER

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• An error comes up when trying to add a negative value without
  selecting it from the 'Values' list. The function 'New' below
  "Selected Value" area is used to type in a negative value. Once
  you hit OK, the error "Value must be a valid Integer" is shown.
  
  Data type seems to be important. Issue is with Int32 and Int64
  and there seems to be  no issue for Decimal.
  

Local fix

• You can select from the  "Values:" area and use the right arrow
  to get negative values to the "Selected Value:" area.
