Error description

  • As the runtimes must be installed in the same WAS server or
    cluster than the administration services it is impossible in WAS
    ND to install runtimes in different servers or clusters than the
    console. It provokes two problems :

    1) Inability to partition and scale clusters or servers
    according to mobile app SLAs
    2) Inability to define seperate WebSphere security domains for
    the console and the runtimes so use different user registries
    (LDAP servers) between console and runtimes

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    * -                                                            *

Problem conclusion

  • Now non symmetric deployment is also supported meaning that the
    Worklight runtimes can be deployed in a WAS ND cell in another
    cluster/server than the admin services that administrates them.

Temporary fix
