Error description
Rational Developer for System z 9.1 - RDz - CARMA Endevor User Interface does not support source/target data set name with hyphen "-". Performing a CARMA Endevor request when the RDz UI requires a source or target data set name to be entered, the data set name can not include a hyphen. In the UI message area you will see 'The data set name is not valid' error. Hyphens are valid in host file names and all RDz user interface dialogs will be modified to allow hyphens, not just CARMA.
Local fix
Specify a source/target data set name that does not include a hyphen.
Problem summary
The RDz client didn't allow the hyphen characters for DataSet names.
Problem conclusion
The client was fixed to allow DataSet names which contained hyphens. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.5.1.7 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
