Error description

  • Rational Developer for System z - RDz - V9.1
    
    Non-visible characters, like 0xFF or 0x1C, in the monitor and
    variables views of the debug perspective are not shown with a
    specific character (a dot, for instance).
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Zero width characters and other control characters are not
    visible in the monitor or variables view.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A "Memory Mode" has been added to the monitor view. This enables
     tracking of characters and their hexadecimal equivalent within
    the monitor view.
    
    The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
    IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.1.1.4 Fix Pack which
    is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
