PI33125: RECEIVE MESSAGE DSNU065I EVEN WITH EXCLUDE SPECIFIED FOR THE THE TEMPORARY TABLESPACE DEFINED IN V8 WHEN DB2 IN V8CM

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In DB2 V8CM, the V8 defined temporary tablespace is not
  removed from the INCLUDE statement of the LISTDEF.  It
  caused the message DSNU065i.  When the temporary tablespace
  is coded in the EXCLUDE statement of the LISTDEF, it is
  not EXCLUDE so it also caused the DSNU065I issued

  *                      LISTDEF contains an INCLUDE using       *
  *                      wildcard(s) that includes a temporary   *
  *                      data base                               *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply corrective PTF when available          *
  ****************************************************************
  COPY was to be run on a list of objects created by the LISTDEF.
  The INCLUDE contained wildcard characters in the data base name
  and table space name:
  
    INCLUDE TABLESPACE 6CD*.*
  
  Because of the wildcard characters, LISTDEF processing
  incorrectly included (a) temporary data base(s) in the
  generated list.  When COPY LIST was run, MSGDSNU065I - UTILITY
  NOT ALLOWED AGAINST A WORKFILE was issued and ended with RC8.
  

Problem conclusion

• LISTDEF code has been changed to alleviate the aforementioned
  problem.
