PI32462: WMQ: INTRA-GROUP AGENT PUTTING MESSAGE TO DEAD LETTER QUEUE (DLQ) WITH MQRC 2030.

Error description

• The Intra-Group Agent is putting a message to the Dead Letter
  Queue (DLQ) with  MQRC 2030.
  The customer received a CSQM064I message.

  CSQM064I SSID CSQMIGQA Intra-group queuing agent put
  messages to dead-letter queue
  .
  The MQRC 2030 will occur when MQ checks the
  maximum message length, however the QMGR does not
  have a maximum message length (lMaxMsgLen),
  so a value of 0 is used.

  *                      object can fail with MQRC 2030          *
  *                      (MQRC_MSG_TOO_BIG_FOR_Q). This can      *
  *                      result in the message being put to the  *
  *                      dead letter queue if defined.           *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  A MQPUT to a remote queue, that is handled by the intra-group
  queuing agent, that goes to alias queue on the remote queue
  manager that resolves to topic object may fail with MQRC 2030.
  This is due to the IGQ agent wrongly assuming that alias queues
  will always reference a queue object. This results in an
  incorrect field in the object control block being interpreted as
  the queue max message length. This results in the message put
  failing due, with MQRC_MSG_TOO_BIG_FOR_Q.
  

Problem conclusion

• The intra-group queuing agent processing has been updated, to
  allow the internal put calls to determine the correct resolved
  object type when putting to an alias queue. This will ensure
  when it resolves to a topic object, the put is handled
  correctly.
