APAR status

Error description

  • DB2 hang when RRSAF application is cancelled.
DSNB1TMR wait is observed.
DSNR048I message that shows backout is not progressing
DSNB5RDP suspend in the dump.
RRS backout ATRXFlagApplicationAsyncAbend
was observed.  Checking for ABENDEC6 should
be added to DSNAPRHX and DSN3RRXF.

*                      hang backout.  The RRSAF threads are    *
*                      suspended in either DSNB5RDP or         *
*                      DSNB1TIMR.                              *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

An RRSAF thead is hung after an ABENDEC6 and MVS cancel
processing.  Message DSNR048I is issued for the hang.
The RRSAF threads are suspended in either DSNB5RDP or
DSNB1TMR.
RRS implicit Backout is called with the
ATRXFlagApplicationAsyncAbend flag set.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • DB2 has been updated to also check for the ABENDEC6.
The ABEND222, ABEND13E and ABENDEC6 checking have
also been put into the RRSAF exit recovery routine.
