Error description

  • ccmdb load fails with error that  the database is in use by
another user

Steps to Reproduce:

NOTE: This fails randomly.

1. dump the database in Synergy 7.1

? cmdb dump database -t database.dmp

2. Load the database with Synergy 7.2.1

? ccmdb load database.dmp -t sameDbLocation -o -s 7.2.1 server.

Expected Results:

Database should load without error

Actual Results:

Randomly, the ccmdb load will fail with the following message:

Dropping the indicies ...
Updating the release number to 7.2.1 ...
Updating the schema version number to 0114 ...
Note: You must run 'ccmdb upgrade' on this database before using
it.
Updating statistics ...
Creating indexes ...
ERROR:  Database is currently opened by another user.
Function: dbu_open
INFORMIX: -425, ISAM: -107

Please run ccmdb repair command to rebuild the indexes later.
