APAR status

Error description

• In Rational Developer for System z (RDz) 9.0.1, each keystroke
  for adding a new data set name in the Allocate like wizard takes
  a long time. This behaviour is only observed when there is a
  network latency with the remote host.

Problem summary

• When allocating new data sets and typing in the data set name,
  there can occasionally be a significant delay between each key
  press and the appearance of the character in the UI.
  

Problem conclusion

• Reduced the number of times checking the host for the code
  page when validating character input.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.0.1.4 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
