PI27891: LOAD UTILITY STARTED BY QAPPLY FAILING WITH RC00C90224 WHEN THE TARGET OBJECT IS IN RREPL STATUS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• QAPPLY generates a LOAD DATA INCURSOR to apply the changes
  from the source table to the target table when the source
  table is reloaded(Qapply parm AS_LOADPHASE=I is in effect).
  As the object is in RREPL status, the Load will fail with
  MSGDSNU590I:
  DSNU590I  -ssid 244 13:26:40.47 DSNUGDTC - RESOURCE
  NOT AVAILABLE, REASON=X'00C90224', ON dbname.tsname
  PROHIBITS PROCESSING
  The syslog would eventually show:
  DSNT501I  -ssid DSNIDBET RESOURCE UNAVAILABLE
                          CORRELATION-ID=qapplycorrid
                          CONNECTION-ID=RRSAF
      .....
                          REASON 00C90224
                          TYPE 00000201
                          NAME dbname.tsname
  Since this load is initiated by QAPPLY, then it should
  be allowed.
  

Local fix

• Change tablespace status to RW instead of RREPL to allow load to
  run.  Set it back to RREPL once load completes.

  LOAD INCURSOR of a table in Read or Replication Only (RREPL)
  status and issued by an authorized replication application,
  issued messages DSNU590I - RESOURCE NOT AVAILABLE,
  REASON=X'00C90224' and DSNT501I - RESOURCE UNAVAILABLE REASON
  00C90224 TYPE 00000201 and ends with RC8.  This occurred because
  LOAD INCURSOR is not supported to run on objects in RREPL status
  but should be when it is issued from an authorized replication
  application.
  
  Also COPY, COPYTOCOPY, MERGECOPY, CHECK DATA, CHECK INDEX and
  CHECK LOB should also be allowed to run on objects in RREPL
  status.

Problem conclusion

• Code has been changed to allow LOAD INCURSOR to execute on
  objects in RREPL status when issued by an authorized replication
  application.
  
  Also, code has been changed to allow the COPY, COPYTOCOPY,
  MERGECOPY, CHECK DATA, CHECK INDEX and CHECK LOB utilities to
  run on objects in RREPL status.
