APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • It was found that when a backup and restore of a device was
    done through iTunes, hybrid applications would no longer
    function.  Instead, messages such as the following would be
    displayed in the client log output:
    
    Application Error: The application encountered an internal
    error.  Please uninstall the application and then re-install it.
    
    and
    
    Failed to load webpage with error: The requested URL was not
    found on this server.
    
    As a result, the direct update prompt will appear on each
    application start up.
    

Local fix

  • It was determined that this issue only occurs when
    encryptWebResources is set to true.  Changing this setting to
    false prevents the failure from occurring.
