Error description

  • When using .bset selector under a project step that inline
another project, the selector configured is set as the build
    selector used during restart.
The correct selector will be used to for the initial build runs,
were the appropriate selector is used for the project steps and
the inline steps used the selector configured under .bset
    selector.

    Steps to reproduce:

    - Create 2 projects (ProjA, ProjB) and two selectors (SelectorA,
    SelectorB).
    - Set ProjA to use SelectorA and with 4 steps.
    - Configure steps 1, 3, and 4 to perform a ".sleep 0"
    - Configure step 2 to perform a ".bset selector SelectorB" and
    to inline ProjB.
    - Execute ProjA build.

    Expected result:

    - All of ProjA steps run under SelectorA, inlined ProjB steps
    run under SelectorB.
    - When attempting to restart ProjA, the configured selector
under the Job Start page list "SelectorA".

    Actual result:

    - When attempting to restart ProjA, the configured selector
under the Job Start page list "SelectorB" instead of
    "SelectorA".

    Workaround:

    - When restarting the build, modify the build selector under the
    Job Start page to "SelectorA".

Local fix

  • When restarting the build, modify the build selector under the
    Job Start page to "SelectorA".
