Error description

  • 1. Create a top-level resource Top
    2. Create a resouce tree with with a fan-out of three, e.g. Top
has three children Group1/Group2/Group3, whereas Group1 has
three children Group1_1/Group1_2/Group1_3 etc. until you reach
    the grand-grand-children level Group1_3_1/Group1_3_2/Group1_3_3
    3. Add a component at the grand-grand-children level
    4. Close all elements after another, e.g. Group1_1_1,
    Group1_1_2, Group1_1_3, Group1_1, ... until you reach Top
    5. Open Firebug to see what is loaded from the server from the
    path /rest/resource/resource/tree
    6. Reload the page
    Actual Result:
Only the top element is loaded
    7. Open all elements beneath Group1 and close then Group1 and
    Top and reload the page
    Actual Result:
Not just Top but more elements of the tree are loaded even
though on each expand elements are loaded anyway
    Expected Result:
If elements are hidden, they should not be loaded and only be
loaded when the parent is expanded

Local fix

  • Collapse all children of a node and their children in the
resource tree before collapsing the node
