Error description

  • You were experiencing SOS above the line. The region was found
to contain muliple CEMT task all waiting on storage.
You are receiving DFHZC2404 (VTAM detected an error in a
    request) followed by:
DFHZC0001 An abend (code ---/AKEG) has occurred at offset
X'2BFE' in module DFHZGTA. CICS then continued with repeated
    with 0C4 in DFHZGTA:
DFHZC0001 An abend (code 0C4/AKEA) has occurred at offset
     X'FFFF' in module DFHZGTA.
As the errors continued, there was also an AKEG in DFHTBSB
DFHAP0001 An abend (code ---/AKEG) has occurred at offset
    X'00000AFA'
Then, later, you received the failures in MVS GETMAINS.
DFHME0006 Insufficient storage to satisfy GETMAIN
(code x'0342') in module DFHMEME. MVS code 0004.
The region eventually has to be cancelled.
    .
ZC0001 dump shows the task running in error is CATA.

Further diagnosis, the problem is that CICS picks up a bad value
of KERNPOWN in DFHZGTA HCI6700 at offset x'330' for CATA.
This leads to abend0C4 at offset x'33C' where we did 0B0E or
BSM 0,14 r14: A0000_000150E1 contains an invalid branch
    address.

    ****************************************************************
An abend occurs when DFHZGTA is running. This results in the
recovery routine being driven. On exit from the recovery
routine, control is passed to the module exit point. If
register 11, which is used as a saved stack address, has
become invalid, DFHZGTA will experience an 0C4 abend.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHZGTA has been changed so that the saved stack address is
correct before control is passed to the module exit point.
