PI22126: Attempts at modify the deployment descriptor results in JAR file s being placed in the EAR root folder rather than the lib folder

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Steps to recreate:
  ---------------------
  1. Create an EAR, Web and Utility project. Create deployment
  descriptor (application.xml).
  
  2. Deploy to a Websphere test environment
  
  3. EAR Deployment Assembly page shows IBMUtility jar as
  'lib/IBMUtility.jar' (which is correct)
  
  4. Add security role via application.xml and the entry in 3.
  changes to 'IBMUtility.jar'
  
  5. Deploy on the Test Environment.
  
  6. Invoking servlet throws the following error:
  
  "Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
  com.utility.UtilTest
      at
  java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:434)"
  
  7. Change the Deployment Assembly page entry back to
  'lib/IBMUtility.jar' and the servlet is correctly invoked.
