Error description

  • Environment:
    
    IBM Rational Software Architect for WebSphere 8.0.4
    IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.0.0.4
    
    Steps to reproduce:
    
    Execute a Jython script that calls the following API:
    
    AdminTask.createSIBus('[-bus BusName]')
    
    From the command line the execution is successful:
    
    C:\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\AppSrv01\bin>wsadmin -f
    C:\script.py -conntype NONE
    WASX7357I: By request, this scripting client is not connected to
    any
    server process. Certain configuration and application operations
    will
    be available
    
    
    Attempt to execute it from Rational Software Architect for
    WebSphere fail with the error:

Local fix

  • Set the system property "local.cell" to the name of the
    cell as VM argument in the "Run Configurations" for the
    administrative
    script as shown below:
    
    "-Dlocal.cell=<cell_name>"
    
    Replace the "<cell_name>" with the actual cell name.
