PI21304: DOCUMENTATION SHOULD MENTION THAT AGENTS SHOULD BE ACTIVE BEFORE UPGRADING

APAR status

• Closed as documentation error.

Error description

• Inactive agents cannot be switched to active in the user
  interface of UrbanCode Deploy 6.0.x or 6.1.x.
  The documentation does not mention that inactive agents should
  be activated before migrating from UrbanCode Deploy 4.8.x to
  6.x.
  The inactive agents can be shown in the user interface by
  enabling the option "Enable show inactive links" in the System
  settings.
  

Local fix

• To activate the agents, you need to adjust the database used by
  UrbanCode Deploy using those SQL statements:
  UPDATE DS_AGENT SET ACTIVE = 'Y'
  UPDATE SEC_RESOURCE SET ENABLED = 'Y' WHERE SEC_RESOURCE_TYPE_ID
  =
  '20000000000000000000000000000106'
  
  As always, we recommend making DB backups before running manual
  SQL queries even though those statements have a low risk
  attached.
