PI19513: Expanding call activity displays a distorted view of the called element's diagram

Error description

• In IBM Rational Software Architect, if you expand the call
  activity to see the diagram elements of the called element
  diagram, the diagram elements will appear superimposed with the
  diagram's connectors drawn outside of the call activity.
  
  The following steps reproduce the problem:
  
  1. Create 2 BPMN models
  
  2. Add a call activity to the first model/diagram
  
  3. Go to the call activity's Properties ? General ? Called
  element
  
  4. Browse to the second model/diagram and select it, so that the
  call activity's 'Called element' refers to the second BPMN
  model/diagram and a '+' sign now appears on the call activity
  
  5. Save the changes
  
  6. Open the second BPMN model/diagram
  
  7. Add some elements, sequence flows and connectors to the
  second model/diagram and save all changes
  
  8. Return to the first model/diagram and expand the '+' on the
  call activity
  
  Expected Result: All the diagram elements, connectors and
  sequence flows from the second model/diagram appear neatly
  within the call activity.
  
  Actual Result: The diagram elements, connectors, and sequence
  flows appear disorganized within the call activity. The
  connectors and sequence flows are even rendered outside the
  boundary of the call activity.
  
  Workaround:
  There is no workaround at this time.

  When a call activity which references a process is expanded,
  the elements are not laid out properly in the callactivity
  compartment.
  

Problem conclusion

• Proper layout of elements inside callactivity compartment
  was not being done. Auto layout is required to make sure
  that elements are laid out properly. As a part of the fix,
  auto layout of elements inside callactivity compartment is
  done. As users who manually edit the element positions in
  the compartment shouldn't get affected, the auto layout is
  driven through a preference "Auto layout call activity
  contents when expanded" in BPMN Modeling ? Appearance, which
  by default is false.
