APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After customizing the compiler default options using a USERMOD,
the compiler is reverting back to the normal option defaults, or
changing option settings depending on other specified options.

For example, setting ARCH(9) and TARG(LE,zOSV1R12) in a USERMOD
is reverting the ARCH setting back to ARCH(5), because ARCH(5)
is the default ARCH level for the zOSV1R12 TARGET.

More information on the usage of USERMODs can be found here:

Local fix

  • Supply required options on the command line or in the JCL.
These options are not affected by the USERMOD.
