APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• 1. Create a new component, application, environment and
  configure the plug-in Middleware Configuration for WebSphere
  Application Server to a WebSphere Application Server 8.5 profile
  2. Create a component process. Add the step Execute wsadmin
  Script, choose as language JACL and add to the Script body:
  puts "hello"
  3. Reference the component process from an application process
  4. Run the application process
  Actual Result:
  wsadmin will try to run the script as a Jython script resulting
  in the error:
  SyntaxError: invalid syntax
  Expected Result:
  The script is executed as a JACL script and prints out hello
  

Local fix

• 1. Add a step Create file before the step Execute wsadmin Script
  step write the script into a temporary file with .jacl extension
  2. Reference the file in the parameter Script path of the
  Execute wsadmin Script step
