Error description

• Abstract:
  
  Attempted to add the Resource Environment Reference type
  'java.util.concurrent.ExecutorService', introduced in WebSphere
  Application Server v8.5.5, fail in the Web Deployment Descriptor
  editor.
  
  Error Description:
  
  Using the product targeting WebSphere Application Server v8.5.5,
  When selecting the Type in the resource refernece wizard, the
  drop down list does not include the Resource Environment
  Reference type: 'java.util.concurrent.ExecutorService'
  introduced in WebSphere Application Server v8.5.5.
  
  This reference type was introduced in WAS v8.5.5 as described
  here:

  WORKAROUND:
  
  Manually edit the Web deployment descriptor file and use a text
  editor to add the reference.

Problem conclusion

• The missing type was added in later WebSphere Application
  Server versions.
  
  The fix for this APAR is included in Rational Application
  Developer v8.5.5.1.
