Error description
Rational Developer for System z - RDz Client v8.5.1.4 Description : When parsing a CICS statement that is coded inside a copybook, The error is : "Copybook 'GNM0049C' contains the following error: "ERROR_TOKEN" unexpected tokens ingored.". Steps to reproduce : - Define a copybook with the following statement : EXEC CICS ASSIGN ABCODE(:TAG2;-CICIS-ABND-COD) NOHANDLE END-EXEC - Then create a Cobol program that call sthis copybook as shown below: COPY <copybook name> REPLACING ==:TAG2:== BY ===WS==. - A warning appears on the COPY line in the Cobol program.
Local fix
If you replace the :TAG2: symbol in the copybook with WS then the error goes away.
Problem summary
The RDz COBOL parser mishandles multi-token replacements in EXEC statements well.
Problem conclusion
Modified the COBOL parser to better handle replacements in EXEC statements. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.5.1.6 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
