  • The problem described by this apar/pmr occurs because a nested
routine exceeds its ASUTIME limit while returning from the
call.  The routine is cancelled while trying to restore the
caller's environment.  During cancel processing, we retry the
code to restore the caller's environment which causes DB2 to
attempt to free storage again.

The timing window for this problem to occur is small.  To close
this window requires a redesign of the environment restoration
routine to account for cancel and retry processing.
It is preferable to fix this in a future
release under development rather than in the service stream.

Defect pi15081 in our defect tracking system has been opened
to track this problem.
