Error description
Abstract: Attempts to use search filter to locate assets belonging to a category that was recently renamed may result in no assets found. Error Description: Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a new category/subcategory, e.g. 'Test category/ child category/ yellow' 2. Submit an asset with the subcategory created above. 3. Change the name of the subcategory from 'yellow' to 'blue'. 4. In the RAM Web UI, in the 'Filter your search' panel, you will see 'Test category/ child category/ blue [1]' (NOTE: you may need to perform a wildcard '*' search first before the category filter will appear). Expected results ---------------- When you click on the search filter after it has been renamed, the asset submitted earlier should appear in the search results. Actual results --------------- When you click on the search filter after it has been renamed, no result will be shown. Also, if you go to that asset, click the subcategory, it will take you to the search page and search with the subcategory blue, but still no results will appear. WORKAROUND: There is no known workaround at this time.

On the search filter, it says Test category/ child * * category/ blue [1], which means it works fine. * * you may need to search for * first then the category filter * * will come. * * * * 5. if you click the filter, no result is shown. If you go to * * that asset, click the subcategory, it will take you to the * * search page and search with the subcategory blue, but still * * no results. * * * * The main reason is that the name change of subcategory will * * not update the last dirty time of the asset in the ASSET * * table. In this case, the indexer does not come in and * * update it in the index. Maybe we could try to update the * * dirty time when the category name is revised. Or we can * * search with category id instead of its name. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * ****************************************************************
