Error description

  • RFT 8.5.1 - Playback  fails with  ObjectNotFoundException on SAP
GUI.
The SAPGUI application has been enabled correctly and the
recording is fine however the playback results in
ObjectNotFoundException while performing any action on any
control of SAPGUI.

* From SAP GUI windows application, some of the controls are   *
* getting recognized as windows controls and some as SAP       *
* controls. However during playback RFT is unable to find      *
* these controls and throwing ONF exception.                   *

Problem conclusion


    

  • RFT 8513 contains the fix. When the SAP GUI is launched from
saplgpad or sapgui.exe, the enablement of the application should
be successful and record and playback should work as expected.
ObjectNotFound Exceptions should not be seen.
