Error description

  • This defect is from ER#RATLC01553055, dev team confirmed this is
defect and request to open APAR:

Client is using RSA 8.5.1 + TesFix_PM86884_e, client found that
unit fields update not discovered after rediscovery, please
    reference following:

    -----------------
I?ve attached a spreadsheet that shows the results of importing
units from TADDM, and rediscovering units linked to TADDM, and
whether or not the unit fields are being set correctly and if
RSA is detecting changes to them. The rows in green are where
it imports and rediscovers a field correctly, rows in yellow are
where it appears to be ok but I can?t test every value, and the
rows in red are where either the import doesn?t set the value
correctly on the RSA unit or the rediscovery doesn?t detect the
field has changed when the TADDM inventory has been updated, or
    both.

    ****************************************************************
When there is a mapping to same capability more than once,
the rediscovery operation considers only the first mapping.
The mappings need to be consolidated so that there is only a
single valid mapping for such capability (e.g. MQQueue and
    MQChannel etc).

Problem conclusion

  • When there is a mapping to same capability more than once,
the rediscovery operation considers only the first mapping.
The mappings are now consolidated so that there is only a
single valid mapping for MQQueue and MQChannel capabilities.
