Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v9.0.1:
Run the FEKFIVPJ program to verify the installation of
JMON. The script fails with
'Connect failed, rc= 2001 Syntax error in RXSOCKET
parameter list '

Local fix

  • Change line 138 in the fekfivpj REXX script by removing the
two zero's around the 127.0.0.1 IP address.
000138   rc = socket('Connect', s, '2' port '0 127.0.0.1 0')
->
000138   rc = socket('Connect', s, '2' port '127.0.0.1')
