PI10882: Using refresh causes mode to change to reader Rational System Architect XT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Attempts to use the Refresh button result in the logged in
  status to change from Updater to Reader in IBM Rational System
  Architect XT (SAXT).
  
  CONFIGURATION
  Environment = Microsoft Windows (R)
  Tool = Rational System Architect (R)
  Version = 11.4.2.5 (Build 47)
  
  SYMPTOM
  The logged in status changes to reader from updater.
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE
  1. Log-in into SAXT as Reader
  2. Press Switch to Updater
  3. Press the Refresh on the SAXT main bar
  
  EXPECTED RESULT
  The logged in status to be Updater.
  
  ACTUAL RESULT
  The logged in status changes to Reader.
  
  WORKAROUND
  Use the Switch to Updater button to get status back to Updater
  from Reader.

  Attempts to use the Refresh button after using the
  switchMode=T parameter result in the Reader/Updater mode
  switching in IBM Rational System Architect XT (SAXT).
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been corrected.
  Use of the switchMode parameter will trigger its replacement
  with an UpdaterMode= parameter which will have the value T
  when updater and F when reader. Refreshing will no longer
  switch the active mode.
  The use of the switchMode parameter can be replaced with the
  UpdaterMode parameter with the desired state.
