Error description

  • An 0C4 abend occurs when using Enterprise COBOL V5.1 VSAM file
I/O with VShare when the VSAM EXIT routines in the COBOL
runtime are invoked. The EXIT routines are for the COBOL
Runtime to handle VSAM conditions (e.g. error conditions,
    end-of-file conditions...)

One of the addresses passed into the VSAM macros is missing the
high order bit. If the call is going directly into IBM's VSAM
macro, a problem does not occur. However, if the call is
intercepted by VShare and then redirected, the lack of the high
order bit causes an S0C4 abend.
