Error description

  • Abstract: Rational Developer for System z V8.0.3.5 IVP command
provides no response.

When executing the IVP command F RSED,APPL=IVP DAEMON,DAEMONNAME
nothing happens.

The rsedaemon.log file will show the following error:
EDC5112I Resource temporarily unavailable. (errno2=0x05230138)

The started task runs okay and clients are able to connect okay,
this is just an error with the command.

Local fix:
Execute fekfivpd from /usr/lpp/rdz/bin/ directory to validate
the installation.

Problem conclusion


    

  • 01.Daemon shutdowns the daemon socket after sending the
   connected message. On the other hand, the Daemon IVP is
   changed to connect to a Server port after getting the
   connected message. These actions are not macthed owing to
   the IVP logic. Now, IVP is changed to work normally
   regardless of the Daemon's situations.
