PI08189: ERROR WHEN CONNECTING TO SERVER AFTER SETTING APP TO ACTIVE IN THE CONSOLE.

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The customer provided the following steps and details:
    
    1 set app status "Disabled" on Worklight Console.
    2 launch app with "connectOnStartup: false"and tap "connect to
    server" button to call WL.Client.connect().
    3 app showes Simple Dialog becase of app status "Disabled"
    (Please refer to remoteDisable_connect.xlsx-Step 3 screen shot)
             This is a correct behavior.
    4 Close Simple Dialog and change app status to "Active" on
    Worklight Console.
    5 tap "connect to server" button to call WL.Client.connect(),
    worklight client runtime throw error.

          After this situation, I can not succeed to call
    WL.Client.connect() even if app status "Active".
    

Local fix

  • Restart the application and try again.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been fixed so that the application connection can
    be successful.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for fixpack 6.0.0.2
    and fixpack 6.1.0.1.
