• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Results of multiplication or division produces incorrect results
  on AIX compared to output produced on Enterprise COBOL for z/OS.
  The COMPUTE MULTIPLY or DIVIDE verbs may produce slightly
  different results.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Divide operation intermediate result has insufficient decimal
  digits for S/390 compatibility. This problem has been corrected
  in 4.1.1.10 fixpack
  

Problem conclusion

• New option provided.  DIVIDE(NATIVE) will continue doing divide
  operations as was done prior to this fix. DIVIDE(S390) should be
  specified to produce result more comparable to z/OS.
