Error description

  • After applying Cognos Business Intelligence 10.2.1 Fix Pack 1,
any Dynamic Query Mode connectivity to DB2 fails with the error:
XQE-GEN-0002 An unexpected exception occurred:
com/ibm/xtq/xslt/runtime/RuntimeError:
com.ibm.xtq.xslt.runtime.RuntimeError ??This appears when
executing reports or testing data source connections in Cognos
Administration.?

Local fix

  • Linux users may switch to a supported IBM Java Runtime.
There is no currently known workaround for Solaris users.
