APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a Gateway daemon with IPIC connections to CICS using SSL is
shut down msgDFHSO1000 will be written to the CICS TS log if
PTFs for CICS TS APARs PM90291 or PM85188 have been applied.

The msgDFHSO1000 records that the SSL connection has closed with
errors, but the errors relate to closing the IPIC SSL connection
and no further action is required.

    ****************************************************************
The PTFs for CICS TS APARs PM90291 and PM85188 provide
improvements to CICS TS IPIC support, including some extra
diagnostic messages. After these fixes are applied message
DFHSO1000 is written to the CICS TS log when the Gateway daemon
shuts down, indicating that CICS TG is not correctly closing
the socket used for IPIC connections using SSL.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS TG has been changed so that sockets for IPIC connections
to CICS using SSL are closed correctly, preventing msgDFHSO1000
being written to the CICS TS log.
