PI04782: DS_LOG_DIR VALUE IS LOST IN 3RD LEVEL OF SUB-JOBSTREAM

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A jobstream is nested 4 or more levels deep and the DS_LOG_DIR
  runtime variable is set in a procedure node in the top level
  jobstream to point to a directory other than the default log
  directory. The logs from the second and third level jobstreams
  are correctly written to this new location but the log from the
  fourth level jobstream is incorrectly written to the default log
  directory.?Examining the log files from each jobstream shows
  that the DS_LOG_DIR variable is correctly set in the top 2
  jobstreams but loses it's value in the 3rd level jobstream.
  

Local fix

• Run the top level jobstream with the -VDS_DIR_LOG runtime parame
  ter specified.
